Website Changes

The log entries below do not cover the routine updating of page contents, such as the Home page banners, the Events page, the PCC Minutes page and the Magazine page.

28/03/2008 All downloadable documents converted to Adobe PDF format (previously a mixture of .doc, .rtf, .zip files). Also, a new 'Choir' symbol added to the Home page, in line with symbols used on the Church of England website 'A Church Near You'.
01/01/2008 New 'Booklet' page added to the History section of the website. Large amount of material added to the 'Parish' History page (now deemed complete). New symbols added to the Home page, in line with symbols used on the Church of England website 'A Church Near You'. Website copyright updated to 2008 throughout.
30/12/2007 'Mailto Webmaster' links at foot of each page replaced with an internal link to the feedback form. Also, numerous 'mailto <groupcontact>' links on the group pages replaced with 'mailto Office' links. This reflects the reduction in the number of email diversions supported by the Web diversion provider. Now the four email accounts which are diverted are - office@ - rector@ - pcc@ - wardens@.
07/12/2007 'People' page in the History section split into three - Rectors, Wardens and Parishioners. Entry for new Rector added. Some biographic material on Vanlore added.
02/06/2007 History pages re-ordered. List of Churchwardens added to 'People' page.
07/11/2006 This page renamed from 'Website News' to 'Site Changes', and moved from the 'What's On' section of the menu to the 'Miscellany' section. Also, 'Contents' page in 'Miscellany' section renamed to 'Site Map'.
30/10/2006 New page of 'PCC minutes' under the 'What's On' section of the menu. Downloadable copies of recent PCC minutes will be in Rich Text Format. Note that the need to have minutes formally approved by the PCC means that the minutes will be available one meeting in arrears (approx a couple of months).
20/05/2006 HTML headers rationalised. Page footers reduced in font size. Home page re-arranged centrally. Navigation frame shortened. Previous/next links repositioned on all photo pages.
04/05/2006 Channels page updated and extra links added between that and the Magazine page.
01/05/2006 Parish News page replaced by Magazine page containing a selection of articles from a recent edition of the Church News magazine.
17/04/2006 Banner removed from all pages except for the Welcome page. Frames amended to remove header. Navigation reminder added to top of all pages.
25/09/2005 New menu section 'Purpose' with new pages 'Creed' and 'Outreach' plus relocated 'Stewardship' page.
28/02/2005 Link to new Reading Interfaith Group website added to Links.
14/06/2004 'Dynamos' subdirectory & initial page created.
13/06/2004 'Daily prayer' page added to Services.
'Duties' & 'Team-work' pages updated in Groups.
